What Shapes the Fabrication Business Decisions You Make?

Finding the right data to guide your fabrication business decisions is like drinking from a firehose of information. Our industry is full of small to medium-sized companies that need specific, timely, and relevant benchmarking data. With today’s job shop workloads, we just don’t have the resources to go looking for that valuable data in a sea of options.

That’s where the FMA comes in.

Each year, we survey business owners, CEOs, HR representatives, and Financial officers to find a pulse on what worked for them in the current business environment. Responses to the survey questions are always compiled and reported anonymously. Once we have our data, we build it into reports like the Salary / Wage and Benefit Survey and the Financial Ratios and Operational Benchmarking Survey.

You can visit our website to read a breakdown of what kind of data to expect, or even download a sample of each survey. The completed surveys are available for anyone to purchase in the FMA bookstore, where of course our members get a discounted price. Download the survey results most beneficial to your fabrication business decision making, and please consider participating in the next round of surveys.

Participants also get discounts, but what’s more important is the good they do for all of us. By answering these surveys (next time they open for respondents) you can be part of the workforce lifecycle we are creating. FMA members are shaping the business outlook for our industry by sharing knowledge in a non-competitive environment for the betterment of all.

Please consider an FMA membership if you would like to be a part of the change we seek. By putting our resources together, we can turn that firehose of information into a rising tide that lifts all boats.

Together, we shape the industry – and the world.
